PR In Your Pajamas Expert, Elena Verlee

I’m curious.  How many of you are using free publicity to build your business?

Are you wanting to attract profitable partnerships and reach markets outside your inner circle? Is your business the first one people think of when looking for your service or expertise?  Are you finding clients ready to invest with you at higher rates?

For myself, I’m always interested in looking for more ways to grow my business FAST, without having to invest a lot of money in marketing.  That’s why I was intrigued by Elena Verlee’s new free teleclass on Tuesday, June 29 called “How to Create Powerful Stories That Get You Free Publicity.”

Mama CEO You’ve Got To Know!

By Maruxa · Comments (0)

Recognizing how each of us are wired, can absolutely impact the way we communicate with each other, find business employees and partners, and really “get” the other people in our life and they, in turn, understand us better too. Deb Ingino has been using and training others with the DISC tool for over 20 years, and created a space for more families and employers to grow stronger in their understanding of how they are wired to be able to be better parents, friends, employers, and build even more confidence in being the way they naturally are. I’ve had the privilege of meeting Deb in person in January and truly loved her insight and passion for helping others become aware of our own “wiring”. I highly recommend checking out her resources at www.MyWiredStyle.com. I’ve got a copy of her new book for children, The Discovery Adventure Club and have to say it is a fantastic resource for understanding our children better! I’ve started to see in my 17-month Ms. Cutie Pie how she’s wired because that book has started to help me see how to look at where she is even now and help encourage her in the ways she’s “wired”. You can also find her on Twitter at www.twitter.com/MyWiredStyle

Karen Bierdeman – The Guilt Free Mom (TM)

I’ve recently had a chance to meet Karen and love her spirit! As a parenting coach, she specializes in strong willed children. I love that she sees each child as being “wired” uniquely in the ways they were designed, instead of them being “problem” children. On her website, http://www.TheGuiltFreeMom.com she talks about her philosophy of parenting strong-willed children and how important it is to NOT blame yourself! Thank goodness, someone gives us permission to not be the ones to blame, eh? You can get to know Karen through her website or through Twitter, www.twitter.com/MomCoach

Have you ever…

Found yourself TRYING to sabotage your business’ success by not accomplishing the smallest task to finish the job?
Wanted to jump out of your own skin to do anything BUT your work?
Realized you’re just doing the motions in your work but not really enjoying the journey?
Noticed that your significant other and your kids are frustrated at your frustration and how you take it out on them?

Believe me, I’ve been there too. I was there (and find myself there) when I find that my values, my goals, or my dreams are not aligned with what I am doing in any particular moment in time. Is it just me or is it that I am totally excited about something and then after the “honeymoon” wears off, that “lovin’ feeling” I had for that project is gone and it takes me so.much. longer. to get anything accomplished.

Here’s what I believe begins this trend:
1. We’re afraid of our own success. What IF we were to finish a task/project and is WAS successful, what would that mean for us? Would that lead to a change in income, lifestyle, my ideas, my actions?

2. We’re becoming aware of ourselves that something we’re doing does not connect with the gifts/talents/skills or passion that we have for this project/business/idea.

3. Your reason for pushing through obstacles and your own frustration isn’t connected to the core of who you are in a way that will get you through any obstacle that comes your way.

4. You’re desperately wanting to make your business work but it’s lost that lovin’ feeling and you need a getaway to get you focused on why this business is the one you have chosen to pursue.

Let me just say that even those who are in LOVE with their business have days where it doesn’t feel all that fabulous, all that fun, and feels like W-O-R-K, but though it doesn’t feel like the dream job we’ve wanted, it doesn’t mean that we need to give up on this opportunity we’ve taken to created businesses on our terms. It’s just that it needs a little tweaking.

We’re in the middle of the “It’s ALL About The Love” series, and if you’ve yet to register, don’t hesitate any longer – even though we’ve gone through 2 calls so far, you can still get the recordings for those two calls and get in for the last two – How To Love Your Family with Dr. Daisy Sutherland, and How To Love Your Business with me, Maruxa Murphy, MA.
